Highlights
- In September, 1997, The AJ Foundation initiated the opening of The Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22’s first public ABA program for elementary aged students with autism
- The AJ Foundation then, in 1998, assisted the Council Rock School District in pioneering its first public ABA program for elementary aged students with autism
- Prior to The AJ Foundation’s involvement with both The Bucks County Intermediate Unit and Council Rock, no specialized public elementary level services, based on the principles of applied behavior analysis, were available for our children with autism.
- In September 2000, the AJ Foundation opened Pennsylvania’s first licensed private school for children with autism between the ages of 5 through 14, called the Comprehensive Learning Center.
