2009 Rugby Festival
The 12th annual rugby festival/pig roast was filled with food, sport and plenty of good times. The day was sunny and B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!!
This was our third year at Briarwood Day Camp which proves to be a very favorable venue for this event. Kids and adults alike enjoyed swimming, boating, and mini golf as well as a great game of volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis and more. The day was topped off again by a visit from the ice cream man!!
The rugby games started off with a match between The AJ Foundation Old Boys vs. The No Joe’s Old Boys from New Jersey. The youth match followed by a game between The Blackthorn Youth vs. The Doylestown Dragons. Then the rugby event was concluded with a match between The Blackthorn Girls vs. The Doylestown Girls High School Teams. A special thanks to all of our rugby participants.
Shakin’ Not Stirred (SNS) was on hand to treat the crowd with hours of musical entertainment. A special thanks to the SNS band members for donating their time!!!.
The day was a great success. Many thanks to our sponsors and to all our family and friends that participated. Your continued support helped us in raising over $32,000.00 for this event. Your generosity allows us to continue our mission to improve the quality of life and services for children and families living with autism.
Again, thank you for your support and see you next year!
