Hurricane Irma had nothing on us!
Participants at the AJF Ride 4 Autism 2017 put feet to the pedals on a glorious, sunny and cool day to benefit The Comprehensive Learning Center. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or “joy” rider, AJF’s four designated bike courses took 350 riders through scenic Bucks County–by bountiful farms, historic covered bridges and canal views.
Riders were treated to a delicious breakfast before starting their ride and rewarded with a hearty lunch after crossing the finish line! Rest stops throughout the courses offered hydration, snacks and camaraderie with other riders, as old friends reminisced of past rides and new friendships were made!
The 2017 event didn’t disappoint! AJF raised $95,500 – exceeding last year’s results! Team ISI Benefits (captain – Michael Jacobson) took “King of the Road” honors in AJF’s Team Challenge 2017 taking 1st place for raising $11,000; Team Blackthorn Rugby (captain–Allan Corless) followed in 2nd place by raising $10,200; and Team Anna (captain—Tiffany Dimedio) took 3rd place honors by contributing $8,700 toward AJF’s fundraising goal.
An event this size is only as successful as its participants, donors and the many volunteers who keep this event growing year-to-year. The AJ Foundation For Children With Autism would like to thank all of you for your dedication and support. We look forward to seeing you again in September 2018.
